Stainless Steel Banding is used for fastening of insulation jacketing on insulated pipes, vessels and equipment. They offer good formability, corrosion resistance toughness and good mechanical properties.
As a result, they are widely used for insulation and engineering applications. These grades are non-magnetic in the annealed condition. These steels exhibit excellent resistance to a wide range of atmospheric, chemical, textile, petroleum and food industry exposures. Type 316 exhibit better corrosion resistance than 304.
Application
It is used to tie up jacketing materials on pipes, conduits and other rigid materials in harsh environments. The temperature ranges from -112°F to 1000°F. It is reliable and easy to install fastening solution up to 100 pounds in tensile strength.
