The Zubair oil field is located in southern Iraq, The redevelopment project primarily involves the drilling of more than 200 wells, the construction of treatment and storage facilities, and refurbishment of the existing facilities.

The new oil and gas processing plant is capable of treating 80,000 barrels of crude oil a day. Six crude oil storage tanks with a capacity of 58,000m³ each were installed at the site.

A 740MW gas-fired power plant is also being constructed as part of the redevelopment project.
