Aluminized Steel (Type-I & Type II)

Protecting structures in the event of a fire is a major challenge for the oil and gas and petrochemical industries. To ensure the safety of workers and installations, superior fire-resistant products are required.

FEZECO- Aluminized Steel has superior corrosion resistance in all environments (urban, industrial, and marine) thanks to the hard and passivating layer of aluminium oxide which forms on the surface of the steel. The effect extends to uncoated cut edges, ensuring long-term protection.

FEZECO- Aluminized Steel Type – I has superior performance compared to zinc coated materials for resistance to atmospheric and salt spray corrosion.

Aluminized Steel Type 1 can be used to produce parts containing simple bends to parts with deep drawing requirements.

Aluminized Steel Type 1 is an excellent heat resistant material effective up to 1250 °F (677 °C). For applications above 800 °F (427 °C) where alloying of the coating is a concern, Aluminized Steel Type 1 is a product designed to provide enhanced high temperature strength at temperatures approaching 1400°F(760 °C).

Type 1 is available in different variants based on thickness of coating ranging from 40microns to 270 microns. It is commonly used in Vehicle Exhaust, Residential Furnaces, Dryer Vents, Commercial Baking and Heat Shields.

FEZECO- Aluminized Steel Type – II has pure aluminium coating on both sides of the steel substrate. The guaranteed coating coating mass is 305 grams/m² or a 50 μm coating on both sides. With its doubled-sided pure aluminium coating, it is the perfect steel solution for fire resistance.

The combination of high quality steel and aluminium offers excellent resistance at temperatures up to 1100°C. Corrosion resistance is maintained in the presence of heat, and the different aggressive combustion by-products found in oil and gas installations
